Raising the effectiveness and the capacity of the production of metal tanks in STIMEX OOD

The Company "Stimex" OOD has a long history, tradition and experience in manufacturing a wide range of metal tanks and other high pressure vessels. This project proposal is aimed at improving and modernizing the production processes by introducing a new automated line for the production of metal tanks for underground and above-ground storages of flammable and non-flammable liquids – up to the requirements of the new EU Standards BS EN 12285-1:2004 and BS EN 12285-2:2005. Metal tanks produced with the new automated line will fully meet the requirements for innovation of those European standards aiming to improve the reliability and safety of the storage products. Trends to strengthen the requirements for environmental protection concerning the storage of hazardous liquids in EU and thus to find reliable solutions for storage leads to a sharp increase in demand for double-skinned metal tanks meeting the requirements of the new European norms and standards. Currently, the production capacity of "Stimex" OOD can not respond adequately to these trends of increased demand. The high degree of workload of the available machines on the other hand increases the time for production and delivery of the metal tanks, which in many cases is a decisive factor in the choice of supplier by the customer. These factors also affect finding prospective customers for the company. The limited production capacity puts now "Stimex" OOD at a disadvantage situation on the market and creates obstacles for its expansion and development. Addressing the above issues defines the urge for the company at introducing a new modern automated line for the production of metal tanks fulfilling the requirements of the new European standards for improving the reliability and safety. The introduction of this automated production line will improve the possibilities of "Stimex" OOD to increase its export in European markets, especially in South-Eastern Europe - mainly in Romania, Serbia, Greece and Macedonia.
