Services diversification and increasing the resource efficiency of SYS M LTD.

Some telecom operators in Bulgaria already offer IPTV service (Internet Protocol Television). This service is further straining their communication networks. Effective option to further optimize the generated network traffic and preserve the quality of the TV service reaching end users is the use of new technology for distributing video content - "Adaptive streaming media". Each television channel is available at the operator headend and maintained in several different video resolutions (profiles), each of which is distributed in MPEG4 video encoding with different real time streaming speed. CPEs switch between video profiles depending on the current load on the network operator. The generation of many different streaming profiles and the change of video encoding in real time is performed by specialized hardware "Adaptive media streamer". Prices for professional adaptive streamers are a highly-costly capital expenditure for each telecommunications operator. SYS M will buy 5 pcs. of "Adaptive media streamer" for generating in real time more than 120 TV channels in 10 different profiles, each with a different speed and resolution. Distribution of video content through "Adaptive media streaming" will be offered as a new service which will expand the assortment of the company. The purchased hardware will be installed in the data center in Montana, where there is a good connectivity to all telecommunications and cable operators in the Northwest region. Following implementation of the project SYS M LTD. will enter a new industry, it will create new business facility and will expand the range of provided services. The project implementation and deployment of new technologies will allow the company to expand its operations and attract new customers.
