Improving the production capacity of the publishing house "Prosveta-Sofia" Jsc. through the development of its regional centers and introduction of new technologies

The present project of publishing house "Prosveta – Sofia" Jsc. is focused on improving the production capacities and resource effectiveness of the company through developing its regional branches and introducing new technical equipment for creation of electronic and paper learning resources: photo, video and audio studio, desktop computers and notebooks, tablets and mobile devices, working with different operational systems, as well as licensed software and platforms for creation of electronic content. With the realization of the project, the limitations with the capacity of the publishing house for creation and development of electronic and paper learning resources will be overcome, their production will become faster, the time necessary for testing different operational systems prior to release of final products to customers will be limited, thus widely enriching the production list of electronic editions. The realization of the investment planned in the present project proposal will automate the processes of creation of electronic learning resources and will make the creation of digital content much easier for authors, editors and other specialists at the company. This will lead to decreasing the need for highly qualified and paid experts at the headquarters, hired only to turn the content of paper materials into electronic format, and will allow the publishing house to develop its regional branches in Northwestern Bulgaria by equipping their offices and training their current staff (highly qualified pedagogues) to create electronic resources. The realization of the project will improve the production capacity of the publishing house and the export of electronic products, which will increase the level of productivity with more than 15 %, the average generated income coming from the export will increase with over 25 % over the 3 years following the project implementation, and the effectiveness will increase with over 16 % due to better use of resources.
