"Improving the production capacity of "Telecable" PLC through investment to expand the scope of the proposed fixed telephone service"

With its establishment in 1995. "Telecable" PLC began to build a cable TV system in Pazardzhik city, which is one of the first cable systems in Bulgaria. In 1996 the company acquired the cable network and the assets of its rival "Union Television" PLC in the same area. This is one of the first acquisitions of competitive cable TV systems in Bulgaria and the first step towards the company's expansion. At present "Telecable" PLC has its own networks in 52 cities in the area of Pazardzhik and Sofia. The company offers its clients a full range of services in telecommunications - analog and digital cable television, IP TV; Internet access provided via its own network for data coverage with more than 50 000 households; fixed telephone service trought VoIP (Voice over IP) technology and others. In 2013, the company successfully completes the project for increasing the capacity of existing MAN / Metropolitan Area Network / networks for data transfer and extension of Internet service providers to new 7500 subscribers by deployment of PON equipment (Passive Optical Network). This project is the next necessary step towards the competitive development of the company in the field of telecommunications, and includes investment in high-tech hardware and software equipment to expand the scope of the proposed fixed telephone service. The ability to get finance help for part of the investment costs is a key factor in starting the project and guarantee for achieving the projected results. This proposal fully meets the objectives of the Operational Programme "Innovation and Competitiveness" 2014-2020, Innovation strategy for smart specialization 2014-2020, the Strategy for Development of SMEs in Bulgaria, as well as the objectives of this selection procedure for projects.
