Management capacity development of "Unitrafad" Ltd. by introducing an ERP resource management system

The company "Unitrafad" Ltd. is registered in Veliko Tarnovo in 1997. The main activity is: production of various types transformers. The nomenclature is rich and extremely diverse - single-phase transformers with different types of cores, three phase transformers, chokes, three-phase reactors and many more. Following the rapid developments in technology, "Unitrafad" Ltd. constantly expands and enriches its product range. The company also offers customized transformers made to specific orders. It annually produces more than 100 000 pcs. of transformers sold in more than 13 countries worldwide and has established itself as a leading transformers manufacturer. This wide diversification of production and rich nomenclature require a stocking, purchasing and raw materials management, hiring and managing staff; cash flow management, marketing and advertising, working with customers and suppliers, management of claims and others, especially in concern to environmental protection costs. All this, in the volumes that "Unitrafad" Ltd. produces, often leads to insufficient and inadequate information and thus - wrong managerial decisions, lost market share, inability to produce fast batches upon urgent orders and an overall more expensive manufacturing process from the additionally inured operational costs. The company is facing a severe need to build a united, using a common database software system that will cover all business processes - planning, budgeting and control in the production, supply, sales, storage, accounting and etc. In order to meet this identified need the company needs to purchase and implement into its core operation an ERP system - 1 pc., including management module wastes, accompanied by a server - 1 pc., which will cover all business processes and will offer a wide range of functionalities and will lead to build a highly effective innovative internal company organization, improved market position, increased export earnings.
