Improving the management capacity of Balkanska zvezda Ltd through implementation of international standards and the introduction of information and communication technologies

The implementation of this project meets the basic need of "Balkanska zvezda" Ltd. in improving the competitiveness of the company, creating opportunities to increase production and export capacity and improving resource efficiency and effectiveness. The enterprise is part of the target group of small and medium-sized enterprises, who face the typical problems of SMEs in Bulgaria related to outdated technology, high production costs, inadequate management capacity. The project belongs to the procedure's target groups as provides activities to improve management processes and organization of the enterprise. Furthermore it would be executed in a priority region (North West region) and falls within the priority thematic areas of the Innovation strategy for smart specialization (Mechatronics and clean technologies). The activities to be implemented in the project include the introduction and implementation of effective management systems, introduction and implementation of production practices and solutions, ensuring optimization of production costs and improving the organization of resources and business processes and compliance of products with European and international standards as a factor to increase their competitive advantages on foreign markets. Expected results include improved market presence and creating potential for export of the company through technologies for improving the production process, higher productivity, cost reduction and optimization of the production chain and increase the added value.
