Management capacity development of NOVA KNIJNA FABRIKA LTD. by introducing an ERP resource management system

The company "Nova Knijna Fabrika" Ltd. was established in 2013. The main activity is: production and marketing of paper and paper products, packaging materials, purchasing and marketing of waste paper and cardboard, utilizing mostly paper waste for raw materials. A major part in the company takes the environmental protection - waste paper and cardboard are processed into new products without the use of harmful chemicals, while maintaining the valuable natural resources, reducing the amount of landfills disposal waste and environmental pollution. The specifics of production - tons of paper and paper products, requires the availability of stocks, purchasing and material management, personnel and cash flow management, marketing and advertising, working with customers, suppliers and others. All this, in the volumes that "Nova Knijna Fabrika" Ltd. works, often leads to dispersion of information from which derive wrong managerial decisions, loss of customers, inability to quickly perform certain orders, delays and an overall more expensive manufacturing process, due to the incurred additional operational costs. This makes the company to face the need to build an united, using a common database software system that covers all business processes - planning, budgeting and control in the production, supply, sales, storage, resource accounting. In order to address these identified needs, it is necessary to introduce an ERP system, a system for environmental management, re-engineering of the manufacturing processes and to purchase and put into production a Linear paper cutting machine for small format - 1 pcs., which will help to fulfill the recommendations of the performed re-engineering. The investments will lead to built a highly efficient internal innovative company organization, improved market position, increased export earnings.
