Organization of trade missions and business forums for Bulgarian producers and foreign buyers

The project proposal stems from the need to support Bulgarian SMEs to improve their export advantages and sustainable positioning in international markets. BSMEPA is the structure directly responsible for provision of appropriate institutional support for Bulgarian companies and it has identified the need for specific support for promoting the internationalization of Bulgarian economy by facilitating the access of Bulgarian SMEs to priority foreign markets. In order to meet this aim, BSMEPA has defined a specific project goals aiming at supporting the Bulgarian SMEs with good export opportunities in establishing direct contacts with potential foreign partners and the establishment or expansion of good commercial and production cooperation through the realization of events such as trade missions, business forums, B2B meetings in the country and abroad. The activities to be implemented will upgrade the results obtained by previous projects of BSMEPA. They comprise the provision of institutional, logistical and financial support for SMEs and branch organizations for their participation in organized by BSMEPA events (trade missions, business forums, B2B meetings). These events are identified as the one of the most effective tools for establishing direct production and trade relationships and creating international partnerships. The expected impact of the project is to establish an opportunity for Bulgarian companies to reach new and expanding their presence at traditional markets, to acquire knowledge of recent developments in the sector and latest trends in technology, know-how transfer and adaptation of Bulgarian products to world standards, promotion of Bulgarian economy, expanding export positions of the Bulgarian SME.
