Ensuring favourable business environment through development and support of information databases in the field of market surveillance, metrological supervision and quality control of liquid fiels as well as by strengthening the technical capacity of the State Agency for Metrological and Technical Surveillance

The project is aimed at strengthening of the national quality infrastrusture(with its main elements- market surveillance, technical inspection, metrological supervision, conformity assessment and quality control of liquid fuels) which is a prerequisite for providing a capacity growth of SMEs as well as for establishment of favourable bussiness environment for the economic operators. The 3 main project activities are related to the development and support of information databases and registers, strengthening of the technical capacity of SAMTS and also activities ensuring information and communication. The realisation of the 1st activity will ensure electronization of the available invormtion related to the activities performed in the field of market surveillance, metrological supervision and quality control of liquid fuels not provided electronicly by now, and this will contribute for the effective use of the information; faster communication and coordination on expert level on the activities execution; adequate reaction on accidents and signals; resourses saving and shortening of the inspection time. The realisation of the 2nd activity will ensure the strengtheing of SAMTS technical capacity which guarantees independence of the SAMTS inspectors from external factors; finding solutions in conflict situations related to the imposed legislative measures; providing conditions for carrying out the activities in all regions of the country; improving the effeciency and provision of better quality activities in shorten periods of time. As to the acitivies on information and communication they will provide information to the economic operators and will ensure better publicity for SAMTS acitivites, project itself and OPIC. The project realization will improve the quality of SAMTS inspection and control activities, will contribute for ensuring fair competition and equal market conditions to the economic oparators as well as for improvement of the bussiness environment.
