"Improving the quality of SMEs' services in tourism through the use of information and communication technologies (ICT) and web-based marketing"

The objective of the present project "Improving the quality of tourism services using ICT and web-based marketing" is to develop and update the content of the portal tourism site www.bulgariatravel.org, technologies and increasing the opportunities for marketing SMEs through OTC and complementing the traditional tools used through the innovative approach of on-line communications. The target groups of the project are SMEs in the field of tourism, associations and business associations that are related to the implementation of activities and the provision of business support services and improvement of the business environment in the sphere of tourism.  The overall objective of the project proposal is to increase the competitiveness of SMEs for sustainable tourism development through institutional support to OTC and SMEs in tourist areas. The virtual platform is intended to create sustainability of the results of the first project under this procedure, with the main activities in general focusing on: Effective advertising of the tourist regions in the country and abroad, according to their specificity and image, characteristic resources and opportunities for practicing different types of tourism; Marketing of tourist areas; Recruiting and providing information to their members to support their activities in the field of tourism; Assistance in improving the quality of tourism products and promoting their activities; Assistance to attract investors in tourist areas. The expected results are: Creation and development of a virtual platform for OUTP by updating the content of the portal tourist site and the multimedia catalog; Promotional campaigns carried out for the 9 tourist areas; Developed and distributed promotional materials in support of OTC; Internet marketing and web marketing of OUTP.
