Providing improved services and a favorable business environment by modernization, retrofitting and expanding scope of activity of testing laboratories in Bulgarian institute of metrology (BIM)

This project is aimed at modernization and equipment of three testing laboratories: Testing Laboratory of Measuring Instruments, Software Testing Laboratory for Measuring Instruments and the Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Testing Laboratory in Bulgarian Institute of Metrology (BIM). The main activities of the project will allow the technological provision of the testing laboratories by the supply of modern technical equipment which will allow to fulfill the requirements of the Regulation of measuring instruments, subject to metrological control ,for which the Bulgarian Institute of Metrology has the obligation to perform metrological control and the requirements of Directive 2014/30/EU for sustainable development of technical infrastructure for the effective implementation of the legislation on conformity assessment for electromagnetic compatibility. The modernization of BIM’s technological capabilities will support the provision of innovative services and will support the Bulgarian producers by maximizing the impact of the investments that have been made. The expected contribution from project implementation will lead to increased innovation activity by: improving the business environment and quality infrastructure; increasing the productivity of enterprises; speeding up the introduction of new technologies in production; long - term competitive advantages of Bulgarian producers in the development and marketing of new measuring instruments.
