Increasing the reliability and effectiveness of the metrological control of energy meters, pressure gauges and taxi meters in the Republic of Bulgaria

This project is aimed at modernizing and equipping twenty four verification laboratories - creating 3 new laboratories for metrological expertise of energy meters, modernizing and retrofitting of 16 laboratories for verification of pressure gauges used in vessels and pressure equipment as well as creating 5 innovative for the country mobile laboratories to verify the "taximeter - vehicle" system (TVS). The main activities of the project will allow to increase the number of metrological expertises of energy meters by 25% per year, to reduce the implementation time, to increase the satisfaction of the legal and / or natural persons in a litigation; controlling the most widely used pressure gauges in the country - up to 100 MPa, efficiency and cost optimization, enhancing the marketing process of pressure gauges by Bulgarian manufacturers; eliminating the need for a building stock for TVS verification, reducing verification time, increasing the number of verifications per day, optimizing the use of mobile stands in extraordinary verifications within a structural unit, increasing the number of timely done verifications of TVS, which in turn will increase confidence of the citizens in the use of the service and the satisfaction of the persons involved in the taximeter branch.. Modernization of BIM's technological capabilities will support the provision of innovative services and will facilitate Bulgarian manufacturers, importers and users of measuring instruments. The expected contribution from the project implementation will result to an increase in innovation activity through: improvement of the business environment and the quality infrastructure; increasing the productivity of enterprises; speeding up the introduction of new technologies in production; long-term competitive advantages of Bulgarian manufacturers in the development and marketing of new measuring instruments.
