Sustainable market competitiveness of TUNA DENIM Ltd.

The main activity of Tuna Denim Ltd. is manufacturing of men's denim jeans. The company produces jeans for the world-famous brand Levi's as subcontractor of the company “InterSource Textiles Conf. San. Ve Tij", Turkey. Most of the production is mainly exported to the European market through the Turkish company, and the other part is the Tuna Denim own export. A serious constraint to the ability of improvement our company's production capacity is the fact that we are manufacturing only for one brand and the volume of production depends on Levi's orders. Although the available technological equipment is designed to meet the requirements for the production of Levi's jeans, the lack of some machines does not allow us to produce the full range of products of the brand (e.g. embroidered jeans, different types of stitches and fastenings, etc.). Thus, we can not meet the requirements of the market as well as expand the production capacity. In recent years we have invested in new equipment, but the lack of some machines in the production chain does not allow us to expand our business. This also directly affects the ability to increase our productivity and to be competitive on the market. For these reasons, with the current project, the company plans to purchase various types of machines to expand the production by adding new characteristic to the manufactured products and diversification the portfolio of the company through manufacturing military clothing. As a result of the implementation of the project, we are expected to achieve the following outcomes: optimization of the production chain through diversification of company activity; enhancing productivity through effective use of human resources; expanding the production; increasing the volume of the production and increasing the export potential. This will allow increased production profitability and financial performance and ensure the sustainable growth capacity of Tuna Denim Ltd.
