The purpose of the project provided by PI DJ PROJECT Ltd is to establish a sustainable activity in specialized structural design and consultancy according to European standards – Eurocode. Provided activities within the framework of the project will create a high quality design products in the field civil engineering structures. Recently Bulgaria has been gradually establishing the European standards in structural design. The purpose is to harmonize the regulatory requirements for structural design within the European Union and to create conditions for free transfer of services and specialists within the European market. Eurocodes were officially introduced in Bulgaria with Regulation No RD-02-20-19 of 29.12.2011 which are applied in parallel with the old Bulgarian regulations. Since 2014 the Eurocodes have been obligatory for designing structures of the 1st and 2nd category according to Spatial Planning Act - Art.137 and for structures deputed according to the Public Procurement Law. The application of European standards – Eurocode the field civil engineering structures is accompanied to a number of problems which are more significant in the design of specialized types of structures - A huge volume of documentation - High complexity and expertise - Nationally defined parameters - Dynamic development In order to provide high quality services in the area of structural design according to Eurocode, each design office needs to find solutions to the problems described by creating the appropriate infrastructure and working conditions of the design team. This problem can be effectively solved with the help of modern computer technologies and cloud computing platforms - the main task of this project.
