Improvement of the production in VAS LTD

The project proposal aims to increase the competitiveness of “VAS” LTD – a small production enterprise, a company with dynamic development and high experience and traditions in pasta products. The product list includes a wide range of products (macaroni, noodles, vermicelli, couscous, powdered mixtures and etc.), produced under its own trade-mark on the basis of modern technology, of high quality and delicious, both healthy and diet pasta products of high added value, well known at the Bulgarian, European and Asian markets. Despite the good market positioning and the comparative advantages, a weak link is the limits of the production process and the limited production capacity of the obsolete noodle manufacturing line. That impedes the policy for product innovations and maintenance of high and guaranteed quality and places the Company in an unfavourable market position, restricting its export capacities regarding entering new market segments and application of its experience and potential. Finding a solution of those problems requires the Company to invest in new modern equipment, guarantying a high level of production processes: a Machine for yufka and crust layer production. The market situation, as well as its established position, are the challenges, imposing the Company need to continue to develop its current production activity. This will be achieved through the offered project activities, which will be favourable to overcome the restrictions faced in the current situation, by improvement of production capacity, the quality and the variety of healthy pastry products. The specific results expected after the project implementation are: Achievement of internal rate of return – 15.05%, increasing of the net incomes – 68.43%; increasing of the productivity – 18.71%, change of average revenues generated from export – more than twice.
