Improvement of finishing operations in the production process of Dilcom Bulgaria EOOD

Within the current period 2014-2020, Dilcom has won and successfully implemented projects under 3 different OPIC procedures: BG16RFOP002-2.001 - Improving Manufacturing Capacity in SMEs, BG16RFOP002-2.002 - "Development of Managerial Capacity and Growth of SMEs" and BG16RFOP002 -3.001 - Energy efficiency for small and medium-sized enterprises. The investments made support the development of the beneficiary in the following directions: - efficient planning, timely reporting, management and control in the processes related to marketing, sales and customer service; - the energy intensity of the production process of labels is reduced; - production capacity for production of boutique labels and long series production capacities has been improved. Appreciating the long-term benefits of participating in European grant programs, in the current procedure, Dilcom's management sees an opportunity to overcome yet another "bottleneck" of the company's operations, namely finishing operations in the production of foil and paper, self-adhesive and non-stick labels. Purchasing a Multifunctional Finishing Machine will give the printing press the technology to punch, cut and bundle all the labels that need finishing. Automation, high productivity and improved end-product quality will be achieved. As a result of the implementation of the project, an average increase in productivity in finishing operations is expected to be between 5 and 8 times. The project envisages an increase in production for the domestic and foreign markets. The project proposal falls within the thematic area "Mechatronics and Clean Technologies" of ISIS because it includes investments in automated and software assisted management systems with application in production. When implementing the project, horizontal policies for equality and non-discrimination will be respected and environmental sustainability will be achieved.
