Expansion of Express Service OOD new locomotives building capacity through delivery and installation of metal sheets processing equipment

A major part of Express Service OOD new locomotives' structure is made of pre-cut, prepared, and welded steel sheets. Locomotives' frames, bogies, cabins, covers and interiors are built with great precision out of steel sheets with thickness between 1 and 160 mm. Before commencing the real locomotives manufacturing - welding, fitting, painting of the metal structures, we need to have delivered the pre-cut and prepared metal sheets. Currently we prepare the needed metal details out of steel sheets by using low-productive hand-held instruments or we outsource this to external companies possessing the necessary equipment. This outsourcing is causing a lot of problems related to production planning, quality and cost of locomotives and is a barrier to production expansion. By installation of our own equipment for automatic cutting, bending, and deburring of metal sheets, we will produce the metal components for our structures by ourselves. This would lead to significant decrease in delivery times, would optimise our production schedule, thus increasing our manufacturing capacity. We will have greater control over cutting and bending schedules and will decrease the production cost of our locomotives. By delivery and installation of metal sheet processing equipment we will increase our production capacity through: reducing the manufacturing time of new locomotives, increasing the quality via precise and automatic preparation of metal details under our supervision, adding value to our manufacturing process and attracting new customers.
