This project proposal shall be executed by DKTEX Ltd., which is located in Shipkovo, in the Troyan municipality. The project concerns expanding the production capacities of the company and the introduction of a new product line – foam-replacing wadding. The project is centered on the purchase of a new production facility, which will expand the production volumes of the current types of wadding, offered by the company, and additionally launch a new production line of foam-replacing wadding, manufactured through termo bonding technology. This product is new not only for the company, but also for the Bulgarian market. DKTEX Ltd. Is an established manufacturer of textile wadding with increasing sales in the country and abroad. In the last three years, the company registers a remarkable rate of revenue growth. In order to maintain its upward trend and solidify its leadership in the market, the firm wants to purchase a production line for foam-replacing wadding. This machine will allow it to expand its production capacities for its current products, as well as introduce a new product – foam-replacing wadding, unique for the Bulgarian market. Foam-replacing wadding is used for the upholstery of indoor and outdoor furniture, production of mattresses and sport facilities, as well as for isolation. This product, still not present in the Bulgarian market, surpasses foam wadding in regard to its effect on the environment and the end consumer. Foam is a non-recyclable material and has a short application life. Even the high quality foam products have an amortization period of 3 to 10 years. In addition, foam contains substances found to have carcinogenic and allergy-inducing effects in the case of long term exposure. Consequently, foam wadding is a threat both to the environment and to human health. In contrast, the production of foam-replacing wadding is a waste-free process, the final product can be recycled and it poses no threat to the health of the end users.
