Investment in achieving higher capacity for finishing works at Bivalvia OOD

Bivalvia OOD is a company specializing in various types of finishing works in polygraphy. Since its establishment, the company has been investing on a regular basis in the purchase of modern production facilities in order to gradually automate all finishing works and offer high-quality services to its customers. This project proposal is a continuation of the company’s policy and its primary aim is to increase the company’s production capacity. In particular, Bivalvia aims to: increase the capacity of placement of elasticated bands by implementing two types of machines to automate this production operation; increase the capacity of rounding the edges of books and notebooks by purchasing specialised equipment to allow for higher flexibility at lower production costs; optimize the process of fly-leaf placement and increase thermal gluing capacity by implementing a modular production line for book binding. The above aims will be achieved by purchasing and implementing into production specialised equipment for finishing works. Thanks to the new equipment, the number of finishing works performed will increase, while the order fulfillment times will decrease. As a result of the more accurate production, the decreased production scrappage and optimized resource utilization, production costs will be decreased. As a result of the project implementation, Bilvalvia OOD will increase its capacity for fast and high-quality order fulfillment, which will contribute to the company’s better export potential.
