Increasing the production capacity in Iztok – Zapad TM Ltd.

Established in 2003, Iztok-Zapad TM Ltd. is one of the leading companies in the field of book publishing in Bulgaria and the only one that has its own prepress and printing base with the capability to produce colourful editions and hardcover books. The company conducts the full cycle of publishing - from the selection of a book, through editing, translation, prepress, creating print forms, attaching the book body to the cover, final quality control and placement of the manufactured product on the market. Since its establishment, the company has implemented publishing of about 2000 titles and has ambitions to expand the volume of published books for which it is necessary to upgrade the available production equipment and to automate the processes. The planned activity within the current project proposal is connected precisely with the adoption of high-performance machines of a new generation to increase the production capacity of the company and improve the quality of the manufactured products. As a result of the project's implementation, the publishing house will achieve its strategy to include both richly illustrated titles and books with unique covers made of thermo and bookbinding canvas, wood or stone, making them craftily polygraphically produced. In addition, enhancing Iztok-Zapad Ltd. capabilities for fast and quality print and book publishing will help launch the export activity of the publishing house. The implementation of the project will lead to the following results: - automation of production processes; - increasing the volume of books published; - increasing the quality of the manufactured production; - shortening production time; - reduction of production wastage and optimized use of resources; - enhancing the competitiveness of the enterprise. In this way the planned investment by the project will guarantee the sustainable development and growth of Iztok-Zapad TM Ltd.
