Digitization of Hemus`s traditional production

Hemus Ltd. has been in business for 20 years, developing its activities entirely in the artisan field, manufacturing products of national, European and global cultural importance. Mostly designer 16th-18th century style carpets are produced. The company runs three main manufacturing processes: "Creating Designs", "Painting / Coloring" and "Hand-Woven Carpetry". The second and third processes have been developed as much as possible on the basis of traditional technology, but the design process is outdated and inefficient, making the entire production process difficult for the company. The present project proposal aims precisely at increasing the competitiveness, production capacity and strengthening of the export potential of Hemus Ltd. by optimizing one of the production processes of the company - the creation of carpet designs. The target group of the project is a small company - "Hemus" OOD - from the territory of LIG "Belovo, Septemvri, Velingrad". The envisaged project activities are: - Action 1 "Support for generic production investments to improve productive capacity for growth through efficient and effective use of production factors and by building opportunities for the adoption and adaptation of European and international knowledge and technologies"; - Action 2 "Information and publicity". Expected results: - Improved competitiveness and production capacity of Hemus Ltd. - through the introduction of modern technologies for improvement of one of the three production processes (creation of designs) and thus achieved: higher productivity, optimization of the production chain, increase of the added value; - Significant increase of the resource efficiency of the company as a result of the investments made in FTA and LTA; - Significantly improved Hemus Ltd's export potential for specific international markets such as the restoration, digitalization and manual production of 16-18 century styled designer carpets.
