The Bulgarian Institute of Metrology (BIM) carries out activities related to ensuring the traceability, accuracy and reliability of measurements, so as to protect the life and health of people and the environment from harmful effects, as well as the property of physical and and legal entities from adverse effects that may result from incorrect measurement results. This project is aimed at improving the efficiency of these activities by developing and implementing an Unified system for activities management, control and analysis /USAMCA/ - software and hardware; certifying BIM according to BDS EN ISO/EIC 27001: 2017; personnel training to work with the system, business process analysis and relevant regulation change. The unified system will be a computer based network of physical objects /devices, measuring instruments, laboratories, controllable measuring instruments, etc./, with integrated electronic devices for interaction with each other and with the external environment. It aims to exclude partially, the need for human interactions, while providing administrative service, supervisory activities and activity for the realization of the administrative-penalizing responsibility, related to measurements, by engaging innovative means - the Internet of Things and artificial intelligence. The developed and implemented unified system will allow BIM to centralize the information from all metric devices that are subject to verification into a single information data base, which will be accessible to both BIM, NRA, SAMTC employees and end users - business representatives owners of metric devices, citizens and other stakeholders. This will improve the quality and efficiency of the services provided by BIM, incl. its control functions, which will improve the business environment and encourage the production of high quality products.
