Increasing energy efficiency in Leyastom LTD

Leyastom Ltd. operates in sector C24, which is among the sectors with high energy intensity. To improve its competitiveness, the company is planing to implement several energy saving measures to contribute to reducing energy consumption in production. The activities are aimed at achieving energy savings through renewing the obsolete production facilities with new, more energy-efficient and improving the manufacturing process of "Casting of metals" (includes casting of non-ferrous metals: copper, lead, zinc, tin, nickel, aluminum, magnesium - NACE activities C 24.54) The following activities are planned to be implemented: 1) Conducting energy audit to analyze current energy consumption and proposing measures to improve energy intensity. The audit is perofrmed by a certified auditor; 2) Investments for implementing the energy efficiency measures included in the energy audit - purchasing of production equipment: - Integrated equipment for the production of sand cores - Measure 1 - Induction System (Induction Furnace) - Measure 2 - Shot blasting processing cell - Measure 3 3) Introduction and certification of system for energy management standard BS EN ISO 50001 / EN ISO 50001; 4) Publicity and visualization of the project; The expected results are: 1) Increasing the competitiveness of the enterprise following the modernization and improvement of the manufacturing process; 2) Increasing energy efficiency, reducing the production costs per unit and expanding the production capacity of Leyastom LTD. The project will be implemented in the premises of Leyastom in the town of Sungurlare for the period of 18 months. .
