Increasing energy efficiency in Gurtsov Ltd.

Gurtsov Ltd. was founded in the year 2002 with main activity manufacturing of bathroom furniture out of MDF, PVC and particle boards - statistical economic code C 31.09 "Manufacturing of other furniture". The enterprise has a distribution network on the territory of the whole country. The particle boards furniture is mainly meant for the Bulgarian market while the products made out of MDF and PVC are meant for the Western European one. In the period of 2013 to 2015 there has been an increase of 350% in produced and marketed goods from 2248 to 7880 pieces per year. The current production process takes place with a large overrun in energy. In combination with the production growth there has been a noticeable increase in energy consumption. For the purpose of increasing the energy efficiency in the enterprise, the implementation of the following activities is intended with this project, laid down in the energy audit, approved with opinion № BG16RFOP-183/26.08.2016 by AUER: - Acquiring of machine for edge gluing to PVC, MDF and particle boards planes; - Acquiring of 2 machines for polishing and grinding of the surfaces of the painted planes made out of PVC and MDF. - Acquiring of new aspiration system for the edge gluing machine with heating recovery via recirculation of the processed air after clean-up of the production dust; - Building an automated system for energy consumption monitoring; - Introduction and certification of an energy management system in accordance to ISO 50001. The realization of the above mentioned measures will result in energy savings as well as decrease in the other production costs. In addition, the decreased production time as a result of the project's realization, will allow for a significant increase in the enterprise's production capacity. During the realization of the project the appropriate measures for visualization and publicity will be taken.
