Improving energy efficiency in "MASTERSYST" Ltd.

This project proposal is aimed at improving energy efficiency in "Mastersyst" Ltd. through the following energy saving measures (ESM) recommended in the report of energy audit: 1) ESM 1 - "Implementing the new plasma cutter" - the proposed new machine has high performance and low power consumption of unit production. Energy savings from the introduction and are the result of direct energy savings will amount to 72 508 kWh / a. Non-energy savings result from reduced operating costs and maintenance costs as well as reduced losses from spoilage. 2) ESM 2 "Entering machine to remove slag" - the machine will be used to remove slag from the edges of the metal parts after plasma gas and oxygen cutting. Energy savings from the introduction and will amount to 11 487 kWh / a. And non-energy will be the result of reduced operating costs and maintenance costs. 3) ESM 3 "Heat recovery" - to ensure the normal operation of the plasma cutting machine is provided with circulating water cooling water that cools in turn watercooler of the machine. The project proposal provides for a system of actuators and automation, creating work opportunities in winter and summer mode during the heating season the heated water from the machine is fed into the heating system. The amount of heat from the machine during the heating period amounted to 17 418 kWh / a. 4) ESM 4 "Implementing Automated monitoring of energy consumption" - is provided for monitoring the energy consumption of the proposed ESM. It consists of hardware and software for data storage. The savings from the introduction of the system would reach about 8% of energy consumption or 7420 kWh / a. The project implementation will result in total annual energy savings of 108,832 kWh.
