Increasing energy efficiency in T/Blok Ltd.

T/Blok Ltd. is a company established in the year 2001, positioned on the hand-held electric tools and abrasive consumables market. The company begun its activity with the import of abrasive articles as the sole representative of leading international manufacturers. In the year 2003 it started its own production. Currently T/Blok markets the following self-manufactured products: abrasive paper - sheets and rolls, endless bands of abrasive paper, abrasive felt - rolls, sheets and discs, endless bands of abrasive felt, discs with grip for fast replacement, abrasive velcro discs, abrasive grinding brushes, lamellar wheels and other. Abrasive discs and abrasive endless bands are manufactured predominantly as the enterprise has modern machines for their production. On the other hand the production of abrasive brushes is low as it is associated with energy losses and low productivity due to the absence of appropriate production equipment. For the purpose of increasing the energy efficiency in the enterprise, the implementation of the following activities is intended with this project, laid down in the energy audit, with opinion № BG16RFOP-376/16.09.2016 by AUER: - Acquiring of machine for precise cutting of flexible abrasives; - Acquiring of machine for forming; - Acquiring of ventilation system with heat recovery; - Building of an automated system for energy consumption monitoring; - Introduction and certification of energy management system in accordance with ISO 50001; The realization of the above mentioned measures will result in energy savings as well as decrease in the other production costs. In addition, the decreased production time as a result of the project's realization, will allow for a increase in the enterprise's production capacity. The project shall be implemented in sector with high energy intensity - C23 Manufacture of other non-metallic mineral raw materials.
