Improving the energy efficiency of ‘’Passat Press’’ Ltd.

The offset printing company was established in 1990 in Varna. The company offers a variety of printing services and specialises in the production of a wide product range, which includes: hardcover and paperback books, leaflets, calendars, menus, labels and folders. Through the investment project the company aims to expand and increase its production by implementing a new energy-efficient equipment, to improve the energy efficiency of the company, to diversify the product range, and to ultimately improve its competitiveness by means of the following activities: - Delivery, installation and implementation of a thermal imagesetter; - Utilisation of the residual machine heat by means of a recuperator in the existing ventilation system; - Implementation of an automated energy consumption monitoring system; - ISO 50001 implementation and certification services; - Energy audit services for establishing energy efficient investment measures; - Visualisation services. In addition to the direct energy savings, the planned investments will be beneficial for other areas such as the environment by reducing the energy consumption and overall carbon emissions. For the production of plates, the company will use aluminium sheets made of recycled aluminium scrap.
