Increasing the energy efficiency at 'TEMPODEM' LTD, Trud village

The activities under this project shall be directed toward the implementation of investments to expand the capacity of the existing business establishment and increase energy efficiency at 'TEMPODEM' LTD, Trud village. In line with the recommendations of a study, made on energy efficiency, six measures shall be provided for implementation in the first private factory for corrugated cardboard and articles, made of cardboard, located in the village of Trud, Maritza Municipality: - Measure 1:Replacement of three LPG forklift trucks - Measure 2:Replacement of the process line for production of corrugated boxes - Measure 3:Replacement of the old semi-automatic flat-die machine with a new automatic flat-die machine - Measure 4:Replacement of the old rotary die with a new machine - Measure 5:Replacement of the old stacking machine with a new one - Measure 6:Replacing of the old cross cutter with a new machine The direct outcome of activities, implemented under the project shall be cutting the volume of energy, consumed for industrial purposes by 1 867 148 kWh/year and reaching an energy saving ratio 57.22%. In order to ensure sustainability of achieved high results with respect to reducing energy consumption for production needs, the Company plans to introduce an Energy Management System, in accordance with the BS EN standard ISO 50001. The main results from the implementation of these activities shall be related to reducing the consumption of energy, consumed in the production activity of Tempodem Ltd., in the village of Trud. In quantitative terms, the results from the implementation of energy-saving measures shall include the following: - Lower CO2 emissions: By 1233.94 tons per annum; - Reaching an energy saving ration (ESR), a total of: 57.22% - Planned energy saving for the enterprise, as a result from the execution of the project: 42.81%; - Annual saving of energy, as per the package of measures, recommended by the Energy Audit: 1867147.58 kWh/annum.
