Support to the implementation of measures towards increasing the energy efficiency of “STAD- Bliznakov” Ltd

The project is focused on the implementation of measures towards increasing the energy efficiency of the production activity of “STAD-Bliznakov” Ltd that includes treatment of wires and metals. The company is a certified producer of fittings and produces a full range of welded fitting gauzes from 4,0 mm to 12,0 mm and reinforced packages with different shapes: square, rectangular and round. The company’s product portfolio also includes fence plaques, stakes and doors for surrounding of yards, production facilities, etc. One of the basic challenges at present that regards the future company’s development is related to the high rate of production costs due to the usage of ineffective machinery as well as the obsolete and energy inefficient production buildings. That is the reason that has motivated us to initiate this action proposing to implement particular energy saving measures outlined from the study made on energy efficiency of the company’s production establishment. With view of reducing the energy consumption and increasing the energy efficiency of the company’s production activity and thus its competitiveness, the project includes the implementation of the following activities: - Implementation of Measure 1 of the study on energy efficiency: Replacement of the old automatic bending machine (bigliar) with a new one; - Implementation of Measure 2: Introduction of a system for energy monitoring that will provide data for the amount of energy consumed by the production facilities in the enterprise. - Measure 3: Establishment of a solar PV system for the production of electrical power for company’s own needs. The implementation of these measures will provide for reducing the energy consumption for ensuring the company’s manufacturing process and thus achieving annul energy savings to the amount of 299 307 kWh/y and reaching an energy saving ration of a total 84,76 %.
