Improving the energy efficiency of ‘’TICHA - SHUMEN’’ LLC

‘’Ticha – Shumen’’ LLC was established in 1997 with headquarters located in Shumen and a main economic activity code: 23.63 Ready-mixed concrete. The company owns a base with an overall area of 14000 m², where two completely separate concrete plants as well as a weighing machine, an aggregates depot, a cement silo, an ironmongery department, a car park and a service-station are located. In order to expand its range of activities, the company is planning to purchase a new high-capacity and energy efficient concrete plant. The firm is also planning to reduce its energy consumption by implementing a system for utilization of the residual air compressor heat as well as an automated energy consumption monitoring system. In order to save water from the daily concrete mixer truck washing, ‘’Ticha – Shumen’’ LLC is planning to install a system for wastewater treatment and reuse. The company will make use of consulting services for implementation and certification of an energy management system in accordance with the BDS EN ISO 50001 standard. Through the project, the company is planning to purchase a new high-capacity, high-quality modern concrete plant and thus, to expand its activities range, to decrease the product cost price and to make it competitive in the local area. This is a prerequisite for stable development, which will improve the market position of the company in the construction industry.
