Achieving sustainable energy development in IPrint Ltd.

IPrint Ltd is an enterprise operating in the field of digital offset printing. Among the main products that it offers are business cards, catalogues, leaflets, invitations, short series of calendars, posters and books. Within the current project IPrint Ltd aims at enhancing its competitive advantages by increasing its energy efficiency. In order to do so the company envisages the following activities in response to the set of measures stated in the energy audit report: 1) Introducing laser cutting line in the production process that will eliminate the need for external subcontractor and that will result in increase of cutting capacity; 2) Introducing a system for utilization of residual heat for achieving greater efficiency in heating the production premises; 3) Implementing an automated energy consumption monitoring system that will allow taking timely managerial decisions for optimizing energy costs; 4) Development, introduction and certification of energy management system in compliance with EN ISO 50001:2011; 5) Activities for publicity to ensure visibility of the funding received by the European Union. As a result of these activities IPrint Ltd will enhance its competitive advantages as regards deadlines for execution; product quality; range of sophisticated products manufactured in the enterprise; cutting capacity. Among the other benefits to the enterprise are creating conditions for achieving sustainable energy efficiency of processes and for reduction of the overall energy used. As a result of the project IPrint Ltd. will register annual energy savings amounting to 26 530 kWh per year, that is energy savings at 28,67% for the whole enterprise. The energy saving ratio will amount to 58% while the carbon savings will reach 21.72 t. per year.
