Investments for improving the energy efficiency and increasing the production capacity of NTN Ltd.

The project of NTN Ltd. aims at implementing measures for improving the energy efficiency of the company, as well as increasing its production capacity through investments in new machinery with higher productivity and the introduction of an energy management system. In the long term, the project will lead to a more sustainable development and a significant increase in the competitiveness of the company. In order to establish the concrete measures, which will improve the energy efficiency of NTN Ltd., a contractor was engaged for the carrying out of an energy efficiency study and the preparation of an energy audit report, in which 6 energy measures have been identified. The measures will be implemented by the purchase of the following machines under Element A (Investments): • Machine Flanging of air ducts – 1 • Machine fasten ducts – 1 • Ser Hydraulic machine – 3 • Spot welding machine – 1 • 5-axis machining center – 1 • CNC punch machine – 1 During the project implementation under Element B (Services) an energy management system will be introduced and certified in full compliance with the requirements of the EN ISO 50001 standard. The project will help NTN Ltd. to improve significantly its energy efficiency: • The overall yearly energy savings from the identified measures will amount to 240 178.66 kWh/year (240,17866 MWh/year). • The planned energy savings for the company as a result of the project implementation will be 85.48%; • Energy saving factor will be 85.51%. These savings will lead to significant benefits for the environment and will be complemented by the new possibility to make use of waste production material. Furthermore, the project will directly contribute to the more sustainable development and higher competitiveness of NTN Ltd.
