Increasing energy efficiency in Unit Total Real Ltd. through the acquisition of new production equipment and the introduction and certification of an energy management system

Unit Total Real Ltd. is a company established in the year 1995 which started its activity with the import of cars and standard car parts. In the year 2001 the enterprise shifted its foreign trade policy towards import of equipment and accessories for off-road vehicles, becoming an official representative for Bulgaria of Taubereuther (Germany), ARB (Australia), WARN (USA), OLD MAN EMU (Australia) and other. In the year 2005 Unit Total Real Ltd. began its own production of off-road vehicle equipment. The company signed a 10-year strategic partnership with the car manufacturer Renault that assigned Unit Total Real Ltd. the production and development of pneumatic suspension systems for initial build-in in the light commercial vehicles (vans) manufactured by Renault. Due to the fact that all of the produced equipment is subject to extreme environmental impact after the installation – including mud, ultraviolet light, water, dust and other, it is necessary that the final product has high corrosion resistance in accordance with ISO 12944-2 (C5) as well as Renault D172028/C (10/2007) - internal quality standard of Renault for level of anti-corrosion resistance performed by a salt spray test. In order to achieve the required level of corrosion resistance in accordance with both standards, currently the enterprise depends on an ineffective process of treating and coating of metal surfaces. The project aims for an increase in the energy efficiency in the enterprise with regards to this particular process via the implementation of the activities, laid down in the energy audit, approved by AUER with opinion № BG16RFOP-605/26.08.2016, namely: - Acquiring of automatic robotic suspension line for organic coating with high corrosion resistance via cataphoresis (KTL) - 1 item - Acquiring of shot blasting machine - 1 item - Acquiring of sanding and polishing machine - 1 item - Introduction and implementation of energy management system in accordance with standard ISO 50001
