Investments for improving the energy efficiency of Flat Ltd.

The project of Flat Ltd. aims at implementing measures for improving the energy efficiency of the company and reducing the amount of energy used through investments in new machinery with higher productivity and lower energy consumption, as well as in the building of an automated system for monitoring of energy consumption and the introduction of an energy management system. In the long term, the project will lead to a more sustainable development and an increase in the competitiveness of the company. In order to establish the concrete energy saving measures a contractor was engaged for the carrying out of an energy efficiency study and the preparation of an energy audit report, in which 6 energy saving measures have been identified. The measures will be implemented by the purchase of the following equipment under Element A (Investments): • Full color digital printing machine – 1 • Monochrome printing and copying system – 3 • Color digital printing system – 2 • System for black-and-white printing, copying, scanning and folding - 1 • System for full color printing, copying and scanning of large-sized printouts - 1 • Automated system for monitoring of energy consumption - 1 During the project implementation under Element B (Services) an energy management system will be introduced and certified in full compliance with the requirements of the EN ISO 50001 standard. The project will help Flat Ltd. to improve significantly its energy efficiency: • The total yearly energy savings from the identified measures will amount to 71986.19 kWh/year (71.98619 Mwh/year.) • The planned energy savings for the company as a result of the project implementation will be 43.13 %. • The energy saving factor will be 43.127 % These savings will lead to significant benefits for the environment and will be complemented by the increased possibility to use recycled materials and to utilize waste production material.
