Introducing measures for increasing the energy efficiency of Mebel M Ltd.

The project proposal is based on the energy audit report and recommendations for the implementation of measures for increasing the energy efficiency of Mebel-M company, developed by “An Energy” Ltd. The activities, related to the preparation of the energy audit, are already implemented and are described as Activity 1 in the following project. The following activities for the realization of the project are provided: replacement of technically outdated machines and equipment new high-tech and energy-efficient machinery and equipment, installation of a recuperator for utilization of waste heat energy and performing of construction works to improve the energy efficiency of the factory building – Activities under Element A "Investments", as well as activities for implementation of an Automated System for Monitoring Energy Consumption (ASMEC) and certification of Energy Management System (EMS) to ISO 50001 - activities under Element B "Services". The project is developed in response to the growing need for optimization of the business processes to achieve a sustainable development of Mebel-M Ltd. on the highly competitive furniture market. Expected results: - Realization of 81.76% energy savings minimum value - CO2 Emissions savings – 25.87 tons/year minimum value - purchased nine pieces of machinery and equipment, including recuperator installed, implemented Automated System for Monitoring Energy Consumption (ASMEC) and Certified Energy Management System launched; publicity provided; - Reduced total energy consumption within the company and reduced cost per unit of output - Achieved higher productivity level Planned duration of the project: 14 months after signing the Grant Agreement Contract. The budget allocated for the realization of the project amounting to 418 431,83 BGN without VAT included, out of which 298 534,26 BGN being Grant, and 119 897,57 BGN being the own contribution of Mebel-M Ltd.
