Implementation of measures to improve energy efficiency in Plast - 60 EOOD

In the last couple of years, Plast - 60 EOOD has invested significant resources to improve its facilities and expand its production capacity. However, in some key stages of production such as extrusion and bag making the company uses outdated equipment and technologies that are energy consuming, do not provide the necessary production capacity and product diversity, lead to a high percentage of wastage and their maintenance and operation are connected with high costs for the company. In this regard, the project of "Plast - 60" Ltd. addresses one of the major problems the organization encounters in its activities - the old production equipment that does not comply with the modern standards for energy efficiency and environmental friendliness, which leads to increased costs, and thus higher prices of the products, and the result of this is limited competitive advantages of the company. This project includes three main activities to address these problems, namely: 1. Purchasing a new energy efficient extruder for film production from recycled granulate; 2. Purchasing a new energy efficient bag making machine for further processing of films to final products 3. Implementation and certification of energy management system according to ISO 50001 The planned investments in new equipment follow the recommendations of an energy audit made for the organization. Executed together and complementing each other, the measures will have an overall positive effect on "Plast - 60" Ltd., reflecting in increased production capacity, reduced energy consumption, created possibility for annual savings of 200 000 lv . All this will contribute to increasing the competitiveness of the enterprise and successfully expanding its activities on its target markets.
