Increasing production efficiency in Universalstroi Ltd. through implementation of energy efficiency measures

The project will implement an important part of a larger investment program for growth and increased competitiveness of "Universalstroi" Ltd. as a representative of the target group (SMEs). This will be made through the implementation energy efficiency improvement measures identified in the report for an energy audit carried out by an entity present in the public register of art. 60, par. 1 of the Energy Efficiency Act and in compliance with all other requirements of the procedure. The measures, presented in a more descriptive manner are: 1. Purchase and introduction of new cutting machine of EPS (expanded polystyrene, styrofoam) - replacement of existing equipment; 2. Purchase and introduction of new packaging machines for EPS - replacement of existing equipment; 3. Replacement of windows in Building 1 - main production building; 4. Replacement of windows in Building 2 - workshop for the manufacture of paints; 5. Replacement of windows and roof materials in Building 3 - workshop for production of EPS; 6. Construction of a plant for utilization of waste heat from compressors in Building 3; 7. Replacement of existing forklift running diesel so working with LPG; 8. Implementation of a system for monitoring of the energy consumption; Additionally in the project is planned implementation and certification of energy management systems in enterprises in accordance with standard BDS EN ISO 50001 (Energy Management Systems) / EN ISO 50001. As a result of the project will be achieved: - Reduced consumption of energy used to the planned energy savings of 34.5%; - Increased production capacity (almost 2 times) of EPS, while reducing the specific energy consumption by a factor of energy savings ratio (ESR) total: 46.19%; - Improved working conditions in the major 3 industrial buildings; - Reducing at least twice of industrial waste per unit of output in the production of EPS blocks, reduce the emissions of dust.
