Increasing the energy efficiency of Rila - roads Ltd.

"Rila - roads" Ltd. was established in April 2013 with the main business of mining and processing of inert materials used in the manufacturing of road surfaces. After successfully upgrading its asphalt base in the village of Kopilovtsi municipality. Since 2014 the company has also been engaged in the production of asphalt mixtures and other construction materials. In connection with its plans to expand its manufacturing capacity and improve its energy efficiency, the company plans the implementation of this project, which includes: 1) Carrying out of an energy audit ( "energy efficiency survey") by a person registered in the public register of art. 60, para. 1 of the EEA (the activity is completed prior to submission of the project) 2) Purchase of new, energy efficient front loader according to the recommendations of the energy audit. 3) Activities for publicity and visualization of the project; The implementation of the project will contribute to significant improvements in the energy efficiency in the enterprise, as according to the energy audit the resulting energy savings will amount to 20.20%, as well as to the reduction of the CO2 emissions by 215 t/yr. which will contribute to the environment protection. Besides the energy saving effect, the project will contribute to an overall increase of the resource efficiency and effectiveness of the company by creating a technological opportunity for reuse of recycled waste by the new high-performance front loader. From the production and technology perspective the envisaged new equipment will increase the production capacity and improve the quality of production processes of the company. With the implementation of the project the company will improve the overall operations in technological, financial, economic and environmental terms, which will lead to a lasting trend of increasing revenues from sales, profit and profitability of its operations, which will ensure a sustainable increase its competitiveness.
