Increasing competitive advantages and sustainability of Balkancar Zaria Pls through investments in energy efficient technologies

The project will meet the requirements the needs of reducing energy intensity ensuring sustainable growth and increasing resource efficiency, flexibility and competitiveness of the enterprise. With its satisfaction will be achieved the overall objective of the project to increase the energy efficiency of Balkancar Zaria Pls. It is planned to be implemented 8 activities: 1) Performing an energy audit; 2) Acquisition of new production equipment in implementation of energy saving measures (ESM) 2-4 and 6 by purchasing two CNC lathes, a pass fragmentation machine, an installation for thermal plasma cutting; an automated system for monitoring energy consumption; 5)installing of the thermal insulation of the furnace for steel parts and a system for recovery of residual heat in implementation of ESM 4;7) Introduction and certification of energy management system in accordance with the requirements of the standard EN ISO 50001: 2011; 8)Publicity and visualization of the project. Will be held 1 procedure with public call for selecting suppliers of these assets under Article 50 (1) of Low for management the EU structural and investment funds and Decree 160/01.07.2016. The project will achieve the following direct outcomes: 1. Selected suppliers for 5 assets and signed contracts 2. Delivered and put into operation 2 new energy saving CNC lathes, 1 pass fragmentation machine, and 1 installation for thermal plasma cutting and introduced automated energy monitoring system 3. Installing of the thermal insulation of the furnace for steel parts and a system for recovery of residual heat 4. Implemented and certified system of energy management under international standard EN ISO 50001:2011 5. Achieved energy savings of 928080kWh/year 6. Achieved 61.78% energy savings to the whole enterprise as a result of the project 7. Saved 760.1 t/year CO2 emissions 8. Realized an investment project in support of business, entrepreneurship; accomplished investment for 713 559.88 levs.
