Increasing the competitiveness of “Mak – Milcho I Aneta Kalenovi” OOD by improving the energy efficiency and capacity of the company

The company "Mak - Milcho and Aneta Kalenovi" Ltd was established in April 1989 with main activity production of metal and plastic products for restaurants, offices and hotels. The serial products of the company are more than 200 items with high quality, modern design, colours and avant-garde packaging. The project foresees the renovation and upgrade of production equipment for improving the energy efficiency and competitiveness of the company to achieve lower production costs, higher productivity and reduction of carbon dioxide emissions into the atmosphere. It is planned to be carried out investments for the purchase of the following equipment: - Injection moulding machine 210 t with dryers – 2 pcs.; - Robots for the injection moulding machines – 2 pcs.; - Horizontal lathe with extended body and cutter function – 1 pc.; - Industrial robot for the press – 1 pc.; - Electro-mechanical guillotine – 1 pc.; - Crusher for grinding the plastic remainder – 1 pc. For achieving continual improvement of energy performance, including energy efficiency, use of energy and its consumption, the company intends to implement and certificate under ISO 50001 energy management system. The project proposal plans to implement the following activities: 1. Acquisition of new production equipment: this activity includes purchase of 210 tons injection moulding machine with dryers – 2 pcs., robots for the injection moulding machines – 2 pcs., horizontal lathe with extended body and cutter function – 1 pc., industrial robot for the press – 1 pc., electro-mechanical guillotine – 1 pc. and crusher for grinding the plastic remainder – 1 pc. 2. Implementation and certification under ISO 50001 energy management system. 3. Perform an energy audit. 4. Publicity and visualization.
