Energy efficiency in Luxpac Ltd

This project proposal aims at increasing the competitiveness of Luxpac LTD as a result of decreased energy intensity, increased production capacity and improved resource efficiency of the company. These objectives shall be achieved through replacement of energy intensive equipment operating in the enterprise and the introduction and certification of energy management system as per standard BDS EN ISO 50001. Luxpac LTD currently produces boxes of the highest quality, which are sold in world markets with the price of large energy costs, obsolete and outdated equipment and lack of a system to control energy consumption. For the purpose of this proposal an energy audit was conducted. It recommended six measures for increasing energy efficiency. The project provides for the purchase and commissioning of new high-tech equipment - 6 machines. These machines are involved in the entire technological cycle of the company and are crucial for the production of all products. The new equipment will automate processes, it will significantly increase the production capacity, it will achieve higher energy efficiency in the long run, and will reduce the amount of industrial waste almost 100% while it will increase the reuse of recycled materials and waste production. Within the project in Luxpac will be also introduced energy management system, respectively there will obtain certification in accordance with the requirements of Standard BDS EN ISO 50001. This will increase the energy efficiency of the enterprise, better planning and implementation of energy efficiency measures and will increase the competitiveness of Luxpac by increasing the confidence of the partners of Bulgarian and international markets.
