Implementation of energy efficiency measures in BALKAN - 2006 Ltd in order to achieve stable growth and competitiveness

The main activity of the company is manufacturing paper tubes, which have wide use in different spheres of the industry – paper, printing , food processing industry, stretch folio, polypropylene, scotch tape medical products and sanitary products(toilet paper and kitchen paper). We are working mainly for the domestic market, but during 2015 we realized an order from Netherlands. We are also about to start manufacturing products for partners from neighbor countries. Since the establishment of the company the volume of the production rises, which is a certificate for the quality of our products and our management and marketing. Our team is well qualified and completes the contracted products with high quality and on time. We use high end materials, with all certificates. We work with the best manufacturers of paper and paper glue. We are very flexible, adapt very fast, which is our advantage compared to our competitors. We have permanent partnership with our clients, who are regularly increasing their orders. But market competition increases and prices fall, and we encounter increasing difficulties in improving productivity and reduction of energy and resource costs. To answer these challenges, we will buy production line, which will expand our range of multilayer paper spools. The machine is automated, with lower energy consumption, more productive, high-tech and low levels of rejects. We will introduce a system for energy monitoring, as well as international standard ISO 50001. With the purchase of equipment and the introduction of energy efficiency standard will increase our productivity, will increase the quality and range of products and reduce energy costs.
