CALCIT Ltd.,. Slivnitsa, is principally engaged in the production of quicklime and hydrated lime, mining of limestone and aggregates. Now carried out its production activities with two shaft lime kilns located on its own production site in gr.Slivnitsa and limestone deposit "Kozyak South" located near gr.Slivnitsa proven and available stocks in the procedure for granting a concession law (according to the Law on privatization). The existing shaft lime kilns in the company were put into operation back in 1947. The furnaces are extremely old and outdated facilities. The process of decarbonising limestone that takes place in them is inefficient and accompanied by significant energy consumption. This raises the value of the final product and makes it uncompetitive. The furnaces have a very complicated operation and maintenance, which leads to a high amount of operating costs. Due to the specific repair facility of this type require the use of external services. The project proposal envisages solving the pressing problem by purchasing a furnace to produce quicklime with auxiliary equipment (Measure 1), thereby the production capacity of the enterprise will grow significantly, which in turn will lead to taking more orders and expand now, as well as lower energy consumption per unit of output.
