The project of Zaharo Ltd. is aimed at implementing measures for improving the energy efficiency of the company and reducing the amount of energy used for its production. In the long term, the project will lead to a more sustainable development and a significant increase in the competitiveness of the company. In order to establish the concrete measures, which will improve the energy efficiency of Zaharo Ltd. a contractor was engaged for the carrying out of an energy efficiency study and the preparation of an energy audit report, in which 13 energy saving measures have been identified. The measures will be implemented under Element A (Investments) through the purchase of production machines and refrigeration plant, through the installation of waste heat recovery system and automated system for monitoring of energy consumption. During the project implementation under Element B (Services) an energy management system will be introduced and certified in full compliance with the requirements of the EN ISO 50001 standard. Through the project implementation Zaharo Ltd. will improve significantly its energy efficiency: • The total yearly energy savings from the identified measures will amount to 182 897 kWh/year (182.897 MWh/year) • The planned energy savings for the company as a result of the project implementation will be 52.4% • The energy saving factor will be 52.4% These savings will lead to significant benefits for the environment and will be complemented by the possibility to recycle waste production and to use recycled materials. Furthermore, the project will directly contribute to the more sustainable development and higher competitiveness of Zaharo Ltd.
