"Competitiveness through energy and resource efficiency at "Pirin Spring" AD.

The main activity of the company includes extracting and bottling of natural mineral water known to the Bulgarian consumer with the brand "Pirin Spring". The company holds municipal concession for water drilling № 273, located in the village of Banichan, Gotse Delchev Municipality. The extraction field, where the mineral water is bottled, is located in an eco clean area on the southern slopes of Pirin Mountain. The company is one of the main suppliers of Lidl Bulgaria in the min. water segment, its strategy for development aims at increasing the production capacity by reducing the costs of production and investing in new equipment. With the implementation of activities under this project, the company will take concrete measures to lower the production costs, in terms of energy and resource efficiency, based on the recommendations made in the prepared energy audit report - investment in the production line for filling mineral water and packaging gallons of 19 liters. - 1 pc. By purchasing and introduction of the selected production line, there will be an increase the capacity of the existing business object and will be reduced the costs of production per unit and will be increased the production volume. In addition, in order to improve the control over costs and increase the profit while saving energy and achieving ecological balance, an energy management system BDS EN ISO 50001 will be introduced and certified . As a result of the implementation of the planned activities will so reduce the consumption electricity and emissions of CO2 in the production process, and will satisfy the needs of "Pirin Spring" AD by enhancing its competitiveness in line with the sustainable development of the company - to become the sole supplier of Lidl for mineral water, incl. outside Bulgaria.
