Increasing energy efficiency and expanding the production capacity of ‘Bulgaria – Tex’ JSC through the implementation of new technologically improved equipmentment and energy management system ISO 50 001

The current project proposal plans the purchase of 14 new energy-efficient machines used for the production of yarn, threads and towels. The aforementioned are presented in the energy audit as measures to increase energy efficiency and are as follows: Measure 1. Hank dyeing machine per 8 units ; Measure 2.Cone dyeing machine per 3 units ; Measure 3. Indanthrene Dyeing Machine per 2 units and measure 4 . Cord Knitting machine per 1 unit. Simultaneously, for more effective management of the energy resources an implementation of Energy Management system ISO 50 001 is being planned , as well as an energy monitoring system (Measure 5 in the energy audit) . Measure 5 will be utilized, solely financed by ‘Bulgaria – Tex’ JSC. The delivery, installment and implementation process of the new machinery is estimated to reduce energy usage with 47.79%, ESR 48.23% energy savings and expand production capacity with 50% as stated by Appendix B – Energy audit. The investment proves to be profitable with an internal rate of return (IRR) of 20.06% and a payback period of 4.16 years, according to Appendix B1in line with the current application process. In addition, the successful application of this project will contribute to environmental conservation by reducing CO2 emissions and thus contributions to climate change with 569.36 t CO2/year. The benefits of each energy-saving measure are thoroughly described in Appendix B – Energy Audit.
