Implementation of energy efficiency measures in Plast Commerce - 93 Ltd. for increase of its competitiveness and attaining sustainable growth

Under the current project "Plast Commerce - 93" Ltd. plans to introduce energy efficiency measures, which will increase their competitiveness and support them in achieving sustainable development and growth in the long term. New modern equipment - PVC granulator and mill for crushing of waste products (their own and of other companies) - is planned to be purchased. The machinery will be used in the daily production processes that the company implements, namely the production of PVC granules and PVC products. Newly purchased equipment will support “Plast Commerce - 93” Ltd. in reducing their costs, improving quality and increasing the quantity of their production. Currently the company has PVC granulator and mill, but they are very old (over 35 years). Both of them are characterized by high energy consumption and low efficiency. The machines operate at full capacity, but their average productivity is extremely low. Therefore, the new machines will be high-tech and energy efficient and will provide for reducing the cost of operation and maintenance. As a result of reducing the amount of energy consumed per unit of production, the energy costs will be lower than now even the fact that the production quantity will be raised. In addition, thanks to the new equipment, the quality of production will be increased and thus the amount of rejects will be lower. The investment will lead to additional benefits for the environment through the reduction of energy consumption and overall reduction of carbon emissions.
