Investments for increasing the energy efficiency of “PAK DESIGN” Ltd.

Proposed action includes the implementation of an initial investment for increasing the energy efficiency and enhancing the capacity of an existing establishment that covers the production base of „PAK DESIGN” company, located in the town of Haskovo. „PAK DESIGN” Ltd. is specialized in the production of a wide range of advertizing and information elements - channel letters, facade advertising, plates, LED displays, totems, billboards, interior and exterior decorations, etc.. The total quantity of energy consumed to provide the manufacturing process according to data for 2015 is 319 340 kWh/y. Respectively the corrected annual energy consumption is 436 045,8 kWh. With view of reducing the energy consumption for ensuring the production process of the company, the project suggests the implementation of 5 energy saving measures, recommended from the study on energy efficiency of the enterprise: - Measure 1: Replacement of the old milling machine HRM610 with a new 5 axes automated machine (5 axes CNC milling machine); - Measure 2: Replacement of the old vacuum machine with a new automated vacuum machine; - Measure 3: Replacement of the old machine for plastics heating with a new high productive machine for plastics heating – 4kW; - Measure 4: Replacement of the old machine for plastics heating with a new high productive machine for plastics heating – 3 kW; - Measure 5: Replacement of the old polishing machine with a new machine for polishing details and articles. Expected results from the implementation of the above measures include the achievement of annul energy savings to the amount of 109 968,32 kWh/y and reaching an Energy Saving Ration of 79,75 %. Proposed measures (project activities) include the implementation of an initial investment in assets that will directly contribute to increasing the production capacity with regard to the company’s basic products – advertising and vacuum shaped elements.
