"Enhancing the competitiveness of Mirvana Ltd. through implementing energy saving measures and commissioning high-tech equipment"

"Mirvana" Ltd. was registered in 1995 in Gorna Oryahovitsa. Its main activity is the production of women’s clothing. The project’s overall aim is enhancing the competitiveness of "Mirvana" Ltd. through increasing energy efficiency and expanding production capacity. The specific objectives are: - Reducing energy consumption and respectively the energy costs per unit produced; - Increasing the company’s production capacity and reducing the production costs per unit produced; - Improving product qualities and reducing spoilage. The objectives listed above will be reached though the following activities: - Performing an energy audit and preparing a report; - Improving the energy and resource efficiency through purchasing and commissioning a new ironing technological line; - Introducing and certifying an energy management system in line with the requirements of BSS EN ISO 50001:2011; - Ensuring visualization and publicity for the project activities. Carrying out the activities listed above will lead to the following results: - Energy audit performed and prescribed measures for increasing energy efficiency; - An implemented and certified energy management monitoring system as per ISO 50001:2011; - Purchased and commissioned ironing technological line of the highest energy class; - Increased productivity and production capacity at "Mirvana" Ltd; - Reducing production costs, respectively the technological value per unit produced; - Achieving annual energy savings of 345 281 kWh; - CO2 emissions savings of 268,604 tons/year; - Reduced production energy intensity; - Enhanced energy and resource efficiency; - Improved quality of the items produced. In view of the positive effects listed above, the project will directly contribute to increasing the competitiveness of "Mirvana" Ltd. on the Bulgarian and international markets.
