Increasing energy efficiency in MM Mechanics Ltd

MM MECHANICS LTD is a leading company for mechanical treatment of parts, recently specialized in aluminum casting under high pressure, heat treatment, coating and assembling. With the implementation of this project the company will introduce energy efficiency measures in order to achieve sustainable growth and competitiveness of the company. The measurements presented in this project come as a result of Energy efficiency audit of MM MECHANICS LTD. The main activities under this current project are: 1. Procurement of new manufacturing equipment – investments in energy efficiency measures, recommended after the performed Energy efficiency audit, as follows: Measurement 1: Tilting furnace; Measurement 2: Stationary and supporting smelter; Measurement 3: Machine for casting under pressure Zn-Al-Cu-alloys with warm cameras; Measurement 4: Specialized castings machine; Measurement 5: Energy efficient vacuum annealing smelter; Measurement 6: Smelters for transportation and retention of melt; Measurement 7: Machines for coating and dosing; Measurement 8: X-ray to detect casting defects in formed parts; Measurement 9: Equipment for recycling of waste cuttings. 2. Development and implementation of energy management system in the enterprise. 3. Certification of the energy management system according to the requirements of ISO 50001 Standard. In the implementation of the entire project the required measures for publicity and information will be undertaken, according to the rules of Annex XII to Regulation(EU) № 1303/2013 and requirements described in the Operational Manual under the Grant scheme. The project will lead to expansion of the production capacity of MM MECHANICS LTD, significant energy savings and will improve the market position of the company.
